Rising 207 metres into the Dublin skyline, the Poolbeg Chimneys have been with us for 35 years. They have been in and out of the news in recent years following suggestions to demolish them.
There is a lot of sentimentality around. Though none from an engineer on the Joe Duffy show who enjoyed building the chimneys, but is not attached at all. Others want to repurpose them as art.
